Cay Caulker
An island-development presentation
This project presented Cay Colony's condominium-resort opportunity on Caye Caulker, Belize. My original portfolio identifies the project with Harry Dole and includes website design and a Flash introduction. The visual materials bring the development subject into its island setting, using blue water, coastal imagery, and a recognizable Cay Caulker title treatment.
The project brief pairs an exclusive condominium presentation with the island's marine and natural setting. The design needs to establish that sense of place before the visitor examines the development information. The original screen and title artwork show how the setting becomes part of the introduction.
Using place as the visual entrance
The archived homepage centers an aerial island view within a quiet blue frame. That composition gives the geography a clear role: the visitor sees the water, the land, and their relationship before moving deeper into the presentation. The title artwork uses a closer beach view and a flowing name treatment to provide another entrance to the same subject.
Those images work at different scales. One establishes the broader location; the other creates a more immediate impression of the island atmosphere. Together they connect the development name to a specific visual setting.
The original animated presentation
The surviving video presentation preserves the moving-image side of the website introduction. It appears below with playback controls so the original presentation can be examined alongside the static website screen and title artwork.
This is a historical website and promotional-design case study. The archived development materials document the original presentation; they do not describe current property availability, ownership, or development status. The focus here is the creative work of introducing a place-based project through imagery, identity, and an animated web entrance.
