Escape Jungle Spa
A website with an immediate sense of place
Escape Jungle Spa is a website-design project preserved in my original portfolio. The archived opening screen uses a tropical beach setting, palm trees, blue water, and a large flowing Escape title to introduce the business visually. The composition establishes the atmosphere before asking the visitor to read a longer explanation.
The title and the image do different work. The name identifies the business, while the setting provides a visual association with an escape from the ordinary. The surrounding frame keeps the opening presentation focused, with the imagery occupying most of the view.
Letting the subject guide the presentation
A spa website benefits from a visual treatment that fits the experience it is presenting. Here, the contrast between the dark palm silhouettes and the bright water gives the screen depth, and the white lettering remains legible over the scene. The design uses a strong opening image instead of a crowded collection of unrelated elements.
The original screenshot below documents that website presentation. It is included as a historical web-design artifact, preserving the actual period screen and the relationship between the name and its visual setting.
The case study focuses on the documented website work. The current portfolio cover gives it a consistent place in the larger project collection, while the original image lets the viewer examine the design that the project produced.
