Aetlas Aetherium

A cover that invites exploration

Ætlas Ætherium combines the visual language of celestial charts, fantasy worlds, and ornamental book design. The cover artwork places a circular title emblem within an intricate framework of gold lines, planet-like forms, and deep blue textures.

The design gives the title a distinct center while surrounding it with details that reward a closer look. The result is a layered visual identity with both a compact emblem and an expansive cover composition.

Building a focal point within a detailed composition

Concentric rings frame the title, setting the lettering apart from the surrounding ornament. Repeated circles, fine radial divisions, and small globe-like elements suggest instruments for navigation and discovery.

The border extends those motifs to the edges of the composition. Its corner ornaments and long horizontal bands help hold the artwork together, while colored circular elements introduce contrast within the gold-and-blue palette.

Atmosphere and color variations

The full cover uses clouds, stars, and planetary forms to create a sense of scale. A blue variation reduces that surrounding imagery, allowing the central artwork and ornamental frame to take the lead.

The simpler emblem presentation isolates the title mark on a textured blue field. Comparing these treatments shows how the same visual identity can shift from a detailed cover to a more restrained presentation without losing its central form.
