Giving an audio collection a visual world of its own
An audio program is heard over time. Its package has a much shorter opportunity to introduce it. My work for The Monroe Institute’s Hemi-Sync collection brought visual identity, package design, illustration, and supporting promotional material together around a varied library of titles.
The original artwork ranges from natural landscapes to cosmic scenes, geometric forms, and dreamlike imagery. Each title has a subject and atmosphere of its own, while the Hemi-Sync identification, typography, framing, and supporting information establish a recognizable relationship across the collection.

Eleven titles. A recognizable family.
The featured collection includes Catnapper, Concentration, Dreamer’s Journey, Einstein’s Dream, GAIA, Higher, Inner Journey, Masterworks, Remembrance, Sleeping Through the Rain, and Winds Over the World. Seeing the covers together makes the variety of the imagery clear without losing the shared identity of the line.
A sleeping cat supplies an immediate visual association for Catnapper. Rain and landscape imagery establish the setting for Sleeping Through the Rain. Earth appears at the center of GAIA. Einstein’s Dream uses a portrait and scientific references, while Inner Journey and Dreamer’s Journey move into more imaginative visual territory.
These are different approaches to a common creative problem: giving a title an image that encourages someone to look more closely. The surrounding design then provides a familiar place for the product name, brand identification, description, and supporting information.

A cover is only part of the package
The Catnapper inside artwork, animated package view, and cassette visualization show how the designs carry across the physical package and its supporting surfaces.
The inside panels balance illustration with readable product information. The dimensional views make the transition from flat artwork to finished packaging easier to see.
Promotional material connected individual titles with the wider library
The collection was also presented through advertisements, information sheets, and multi-title layouts. The Metamusic Artists Volume I artwork brings Sleeping Through the Rain and Inner Journey into one presentation. Other sheets place individual packages within the broader Hemi-Sync product offering.
The library sheet organizes a broader range of offerings; the Metamusic presentation gives two titles room to share one visual composition.
From individual imagery to a complete presentation
This project combined the freedom of illustration with the discipline of a product line. The images could vary widely in mood and subject, while the collection still needed a shared visual presence across covers and promotional materials.
